I like this reply. I’m sure it was redone. At least the floor and all the interior has been. It’s not taking on water. But. I’m 63. It’ll outlive me and I’ve had fun screwing around with it. It is pretty cool, ain’t it?
I’d be REALLY surprised if this thing is waterlogged. The floor and transom are solid as a rock. It’s been babied. I’ll get back when I take out to get the rpm.

As I mentioned before, the leak is totally in the bilge. No tell tale signs of leak on the outside.

The first photo is the throttle at idle and the direction of the spring. The second is the throttle at wot.
When the boat was built I’m sure this is the way it was installed. Probably the original return spring. It returns alright. Into wot.
I did not want to go to the trouble of reconnecting...
This diagram is correct. BUT it pulls it wot.
I ducked around just now to reverse the tension. But who wants to have to keep your hand on the throttle the whole day while fishing?
