i just bought a mercury 850 and upon inspection after bringing it home i found a box on the front of the motor i believe its called a switch box with wires comming in from key switch and going out to dist. just wondering if there is anyway to bypass this thing i would like to know if motor runs...
took my stator off due to brokin wires beyond repair and was wondering i have looked at new ones and some are covered and some are not does this matter?
just bought my first outboard motor boat anf found cooling water sensor melted to motor would this cause it to bog down when going from idle to full throtle while in water... this is the problem last owner had by the way its a dt 55hp suzuki
