    4.3L Merc I/O timing

    I just replaced the distributor cap on my 4.3L Merc I/O and it runs terrible. The old one was cracked but ran good. I see on the top of the engine block that the pistons are port bank 1,3,5 from bow to stern and starboard bank 2,4,6 from bow to stern. I hooked the spark wires up in firing order...

    Merc 4.3L starts won't run

    I left the radio on and ran the battery down on my 2000 Tracker Party Deck 21 which has a 4.3L 2 barrel carb merc alpha 1 in it. When I changed the battery the volt meter would not work when I ran it once then the second time I tried to run it, it would start when the key was turned to start but...
