Took the lower unit off my motor to check impeller. Impeller was very flexible with slight curve to blades and no pieces missing. Gear oil was all milky(water). Unit had no seals on drain and fill plugs. Have not removed skeg yet. Do I have to remove philips head screw in side of unit to remove...
As a follow up to my earlier post, if the prop nut had lost its cotter pin and loosened off two or three turns, would that allow the motor to overcome the rubber slip coupling and cause over reving?
