1999 wellcraft with 5.0 volvo penta
while headed back to the boat ramp last night i was coming up on a sandbar. i slowed down and raised the trim some. i felt some surging so i thought i was running low on fuel (i was reading 1/4 to E) so i stopped the boat short of the sandbar and threw in 5...
i am replacing the steering cable in my '99 wellcraft 200 ss (20' open bow, volvo 5.0 I/O).
i was wondering if there was an upgrade cable or kit for the steering since i want to change steering wheel and the helm may be coming off anyways.
the current cable i have is a teleflex ssc12416...

i just bought a used '99 Wellcraft 200ss with volvo penta 5.0 motor. launched it today and backed it off the trailer just to find out that my steering was stuck.
tried to force the wheel, no luck. has about a 1/4 turn worth of play.
looked at the cable - rack connection...
