    Since I found out the parts match up on both motors, I need to replace the rod and lever on my good motor. The original repair manual doesn't really talk about how to do it. Anybody ever done this? Is there a better resource than the manual? Going to start by trying to pull the good one out...

    differences between 68 and 69

    I have a 68 and 69 20hp and was wondering if the shifter control rod assembly of the 69 will swap over to the 68. The handle is exactly the same. Model for 68 is FD22A but it'll be a couple hours till i can post the other model #. The carbs don't match, but that was an easy test.
