    trolling motor length

    This is my first bow mount trolling motor setup. If I get a TM longer than needed at times can I set the motor for cetain lengths? (say a 48" at one time and then lower it to a 54" at another? )

    I know this subject has been brought up before but I just bought a 1987 14 ft Bayliner Capri and would like to mount a bow mount trolling motor on it .
