I have a 9.9 johnson on a small fiberglas skipjack 10' 2 seater for my son. the problem is it will not plane with two people (sidebyside seating) Changing the carb seems to be too expensive verses the outcome. Can anyone suggest a prop change that will get this lil guy outta the water faster...

Any truth to the rumor of bumping the hp of a 9.9 to a 15 hp by changing the carb???<br />I have a 1993 Johnson 9.9 and would like to get alittle more speed from her to allow me to plane off sooner.<br />Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
