Does the shift cable screw into the bell housing so it is flush---what is the typical depth. I assume it is NPT thread and will stop before it is flush. My threads are a little corroded and seem to prevent propper depth. I cleaned the thread the best I could, but I am unsure of just how far...
What is a good substitute for Perfect Seal that you can buy at the local auto parts store? The application is for the shift cable threads going into the gimbal housing.
