    1974 Evinrude 85 tilt lock

    Got a 1974 Rude 85. It does not have the tilt lock on the motor as I've been using a modified trim/tilt system with the side-saddle cylinders. Works well on normal transom, but I've mounted the motor on a pontoon now, and the trim/tilt bracket overhangs the transom causing massive spray all over...

    1974 Evinrude 85 no spark, need advise

    OK, picked up this evinrude for $300 bucks. Pretty fair shape. Did all the routine maintenance, carbs, water pump, thermostat, plugs. Shes got 120 lbs compression on each cylinder, very nice there. Did the heads and exhaust housing, cleaned those out....etc, etc. No spark now. Actually...
