    what will cause a tach to be irregular such as be idling along and it goes to 2500 rpm or at speed from 4000 it will move to 6000 and remain there?

    i have searched high and low and inbetween for a service manual for a 1996 wellcraft 23excelwalkaround but to no avail wellcraft isnt much help i can find plenty on motors but none on the boat for the wiring diagrams and such. where should i look?
