    Yes it makes no sense .. I took starter off and bench tested - she is pooped .. ordered another .. thank you for your reply , very much appreciated.

    Hi, power to solenoid is 12.6V , power coming out reads 40V. No start , but a click from solenoid. I’m new to this and any help would be awesome. I just bought this boat. It’s a 1976 StarCraft American 18ft.
