So I bought this motor new 3 years ago. Low hours and well maintained.
I use fuel stabilizer and try to run in once a month in a tank. This time I may have been over by
a few weeks.
Tried to run it in a tank yesterday and could not get it started.
Tried again today and finally got it going...

Bought this little 18' skiff a week ago.
Had a mechanic look at the engine before I wrote the check:
Compression good, sparkplugs good, low hours, no abuse..Thumbs up.
Installed 2 brand new Group 24 batteries as well as switch, 3 stage charger...
Tis is a 1995 E4REOD, 2 cylinder engine with farly light duty in it's past.
We use it as a dink/tender motor in salt water about 5 to 8 times a year.
The last time I ran it was 5 months ago. It hangs on the stern of my sailboat and I always run it in fresh water before putting it away. Also...
