    85 evinrude 9.9 help

    just bought an 85 9.9 and it needed a water pump.<br />while replacing the pump which i have done many times on larger ingines. the shaft came out of the lower unit. Is this ok? also seals for shaft look worn any tricks to getting them out? I bought a shop manuel but it is lacking in details...

    verado more torqe than e-tech

    I was at a whaler dealer today on an estimate and got to talking about e-tech's. He said they were good motors but did not have to torqe of the verado. that on the outrage 32 the etechs did not perform as well as the verado. could this be true?<br />any replies would be appriciated

    I just repowerd and have one very good 2001-evinrude 225 ram/ficht with all guages & prop. also have other motor with one bad cylinder. does anybody know hat I can ask for them? any info would be appriciated.

    Done with the ram motor leaned out and blew up last week end. Took a test drive today on a factory equiped e-tech boat today. I was impressed, wanted to get feedback from the group on these motors good, bad, or indiffrent.

    Please advise, I have a pair of 2001 225 hp Evinrudes. I was told that the spark plugs had to point to injectors or it would cut spark plug life in half. They are costly.     Prop performance

    I have a 28 foot deep vee with (2) 225 ram motors 2001(new computers) I can only get 5000 rpms at wot. My props are 14/34 - 21 pitch.<br />Am i overpropedt? what could i try?<br /><br />Thank you in advance!
