Hello everyone.
My trim button on my console dash works. However, the trim up button on the throttle grip does not work (the trim down does). No noise comes from the trim "system", and when I press the trim up botton on grip it makes that clicking (contact) noise (just like when I select trim...
Any tips for storing a boat in the cold of Wisconsin (40 above one day, 40 below the next), in a uninsulated/unheated garage? (excluding your typical winterization process)
Enjoying a nice day of boating and of course I have to hit something with the propeller. It's REALLY messed up (attached a picture for your grim pleasure), but the boat suffered no damage at all, so I got lucky in that aspect. I was able to drive it back without any vibration or listing issues -...
Stupid question - lets say I have a sonar unit (ex: Hummingbird 383c) and I am cruising along at 50mph and it picks up a tree - what type of an advanced notice do these types of units give you? How far out does it ping (sonar) so that you know whats coming?
Is it better to park (trailer in driveway) a boat level, or have the back-end slightly lower than the front (to help eliminate water puddles on the canvas)?
Note: yes, I tried the search. It kept coming back with "The search term you specified (a) is under the minimum word length (2) and...
Two females came looking at my boat. One did a muff-test on the motor. That one forgot to tell the other to let the water into the motor before trying to start it. It turned over, but let out a pop sound, according to my wife (who doesn't know proper procedure for a muff test). Females left in a...

However, I don't want to do that when it is humid AND raining. Any suggestions? Would a fan (to move the air) work?
Like most boats, owners paint their boat name on the back. The 87 Larson I purchased has "Butch and Toot's" painted on the back (I wish to be neither - ;) )
I was in the area near a West Marine store and asked them what I could use to take off the paint without damaging the gel coat - the guy...
Hello all - picking up a 1987 Larson DC 190 openbow (180HP Merc) tomorrow. It was looked over and passed. However, if anyone can offer any potential gotcha's and/or suggestions I would appreciate it. Thanks!
Hi Everyone! I am new to boating. My wife and I used to boat a lot when we were younger, but that was 30-40 years ago and we didn't know how much fun we (or our kids) would have now. So I bought my buddy's 1971 Stuery 4 seater w/50HP johnson (both in surprisingly good condition). I figured if...
