does a too large Prop pitch causes damages in bearings and/or gear wheels in a i.e. Alpha one Gen2 drive unit by overload (torque) or is it a bullshxx story???

Hi guys, i wanna halp a buddy of mine who yust startet with his 305 Bayliner into vication and gave me a call. Some miles of travelling he got a double buzzer sound from one of his merc engines (duoprop) the doulbe buzzer sound comes again one minute later and so on.This happend for a while...

There are 3 Ignition points on the Yamaha ??? I am too long out since tuning a 2 stroke... :eek: :D

I will be careful in porting, timing and open the width. If it goes worth i already bought a second Malta. If this fails again i'll get another one from internet.

i do have a small sized 2 stroke outboard engine (Yamaha Malta 6L5 with 3 HP) for my dingi. By fun i did a bet against a buddy of mine who will have the faster Yamaha Malta next spring time. So i am tuning this small piece. (This is another story :D)

i'm still working on my reversion problem.
Got a brand new First Mate MARINE 5,7 roller camshaft longblock and assembled it with my "old" parts.
The engine is still revesing water through the exhaust.
I did change everything of the attached components. Manifold, elbow, reiser...

Block is cracked.
All 3 crack lines in different cylinders goes horizontal. Just opposite a cooling channel. Probably there are more cracks but i didn't check.
Thin red line above the red section is one of the cracks.
I did hear the buzzer noise of the warning...

#7 was a little lower in compression than the others from the beginning on.
Without sparking plugs i turned the engine by the starter motor. Some water sprayed out of #7. The sparking plug told me...
