Great advice- thanks. We did notice the relay switches in motor had black goo all over - I assume that's the dielectric grease that was put on by someone years ago. I have been so luck with this old Evinrude in having so few issues.
Thanks for responding. I am getting very few thoughts on trouble shooting this. We've looked at the wires but have not done any testing - which will be a new adventure to get a meter to test wires
