1977 Merc 50hp. 500 series T.B ignition I have read where timing should be set up at WOT and have also read where timing should be set up when just cranking engine not running it.Might someone tell me the proper way to set timing (sink&link). Also can a automotive multiemeter be used on this...
early 70s merc 50hp (500) serial not on hand.My problem is hard starting cold,runs okay with just me in boat but no power when under load. Spark is good,carbs have been cleaned filter screens and pump diaphrams replaced.Could it be rings or ???? Thanks.
