    OX66 cuts out at high rpms

    This is a 2001 250HP OX66. It runs great at various rpms up to about 3500. But, if I push it up to about 4500+ it runs for a short while then cuts out and shuts down completely.     Yamaha 2001 - 250 OX 66 Hydraulic trim problem

    Recently hauled out for the season. Retracted the trim pistons all the way in after placing a 2x4 so the skeg doesn't hit the ground. So, the motor is not quite in the full down position. Next day noticed one of the trim pistons had extended by itself. Retracted again, after 1 day it again...
