I did test the wires and its hot with battery switches in, not just when engines are running. Idk about the battery deal, i mean if they were that weak they wouldnt start the motors

I read different opinions on this. I have the good mercruiser gaskets for my riser and spacer, think they are graphite and stainless. I block sanded everything and they are not totally uniform due to corrosion. Who uses sealant and who doesnt. I am guessing NO sealant with the graphite gaskets?
Not sure but i think its original merc paint but anybody know a stripper that works? I tried the aircraft stripper, citrus stripper and a special stripper for anti fouling paint and none worked.
Replaced gimbal bearing and seal. I have the alighnment tool and its off. Question is how can i tell if the engine is actually off or the gimbal is turned? It feels even but i would assume even the slightest could throw it off
