    I have a 1975 merc 1150. i has a burnt piston. i just dropped $550.00 on a distributor the day before it happened. the motor ran back to the dock. I am either going to part it out or sell it whole. let me know if you need parts or i will take $500.00 for the wholr motor. it is on a 1975...

    1975 1150 low speed idle.

    my motor will idle like a champ,very smooth. it runs great but when i go to trailer it it dies on me when its just in foward gear wth no trottle, it acts to me like its loading up on fuel, thanks for any help.

    1975 1150 losing power at wot.

    my 1975 merc 1150 is losing prime at wot. i can pump the ball and it will pick right up, how can i fix this problem, i already have a ne ball and line on it, probably easiest fix is not to run at wot. also most of the post on here i read talk about these motors running at around 5000 to 5500...

    question on switchbox test

    i was wanting to make sure i was doing the test right on my 75 ,1150. i followed the directions and did not get any spark,which would indicate i have a bad switch box. what im not sure of is how touching the black wird from the distrbutor can cause the coil to fire when all wires are diconnected...

    1975 1150 intermitant spark

    i have a 1975 1150, the spark keeps coming and going,i will run in the driveway then not at the lake, then drive home and it runs again, then back to the lake and it will run for hours no problems, motor starts instantly when it has fire. i just installed a new internal harness, motor started...
