I was planning on fixing up my 68 sportwin and had a few more questions.
Where do I get parts for it if I find I need some? Dealer?
Do they make conversion kits to change the point ignition to an electronic ignition etc?

I have a Evinrude Sportwin model #9822/E and serial #E11748.
I got the motor with my aluminum boat used. The motor needs lots of TLC so I have some questions.
What year is it?
Are parts easily available?
How about original paint colors as it needs to be repainted?

I have my parents boat a friend and I are trying to fix up that has been setting for a while.
The tilt/trim does not want to respond up or down. A very light click can be heard but not the loud solenoid click you think you should be hearing.
What could this be?
