Have been having some lower end ISSUES with my '89 225 Johnson. Power head was completely rebuilt. Came across a fresh water almost complete engine in excellent condtion. ( still has the id tag on it )
Question is how bad of a job is it to swap the rebuilt power head over to the unit I just...
My long time Johnson guru has retired and left me for Florida so I'm hoping that the knowledge on this board can help me out.
I have a 1989 225 HP Johnson and I need to know if the lower unit is interchangeable with a 1987 175 HP Johnson.
Both are 25" shafts with trim.
