    2005-F40TLRD-starter engages but only spins

    Starter gear engages flywheel but shaft only spins-gear doesn't go back down. I cleaned all contacts-battery, starter/solonoid, and engine ground--even put on new strong battery-same result. What else can I do? Thanks, Phillip

    1982 60hp won't get full throttle

    1882 60hp runs good to 3/4 throttle-no problem, very smoothe. If you push it on up it stutters and goes fast and immediately backs down--over and over--just won't kick on up to full speed. Bulb doesn't collapse, pumping doesn't effect it, new, clean fuel mix.--starts good, idles good and planes...

    80's 60hp Evenrude slows near full throttle

    My motor starts and runs good until you reach a certain high speed, then it backs off and seems to try, but can't get on up to higher rpms/speed. When you back it off and increase speed again, it does the same thing every time. It recently had a tune-up and ran good at the shop, but now this...

    60hp yamaha 4 stroke-no response to start or trim

    2002 60hp, 4 stroke was running good then, after stopping to fish, would not re-start, nor would tilt work--no response, no clicking-nothing. Battery checked good and found no loose connections at battery or in control box. What else could cause this? What should I check next? Thanks for any...

    Need info. on Mercury #2106813

    Just acquired this 50hp-looks clean but a couple of hoses are disconnected on stbd. side of engine and I can't see where they connect-cooling water hose is conn.-so I've eliminated that-any suggestions??--Also, I assume this is a 1968-is that correct??--Thanks for any help you can give--pes
