I have a 40hp 1971 johnson. When I try to start it the carb keeps flooding.
I have had it to pieces couldnt see anything wrong put it back on but it's still doing the same thing. I bought a second hand carb put it on and that does the same thing aswell :mad:. Does anyone have any ideas...

Can anyone tell me for sure what year my engine is I have looked at all the
links and sites that give you the serials but I cant seem to find mine :(.
I need to get a part for my outboard but I need to know the year first.
The serial is 9300005.
