I have a 1972 Glastron with a 170AQ connected to a 270 outdrive. Aside from the typical Volvo quirks, it doesn't seem to go into gear soon enough. When I shift from neutral to forward or reverse, the engine rpms will go up before it goes into gear, which makes for a very abrupt gear engagement...

Hi, My 1970's 9.5 fills up with water when rinning. The lower unit oil is free of water. When I use the motor and then tip it up to beach the boat, water pours out from under the cowl into the boat. Any ideas.<br /><br />Dave
