    The boat is 1984 so I’m guessing the engine is around the same age. I tried two different gauges and got the same results. It’s just very sluggish fully loaded.

    Yes it has a v8 in it. Is the 80w-90 not to thick for the bottom leg?

    I can’t find any serial number on it or model number. The boat is 1984. I only bought it a few months ago. It’s grey colour leg. It’s not a cobra.

    I have an omc Stern drive. I’m changing the oil in lower and upper unit. I have been told to use 80w-90 in the upper and 10w-30 in the lower by someone who has worked on omc for over 30 years.
