    I cut my transducer cable, need to splice...ugghh

    I cut the connector off of my transducer cable to get the cable from the transducer all the way to the front of the boat. Now, I realize that was a bad idea. Bummer. I've read quite a bit on how to do this, including searching this site. I'm just looking for input on the most fail-safe way...

    Is my sending unit working?

    2003 Crestliner 1600 tiller, 40hp Mercury 4-stroke last summer my motor stopped running. After a lot of debugging I added about 2 gallons of gas and it started and ran perfectly. Gauge showed 1/2 tank. Ran fine the remainder of the summer. Thought sending unit. just digging into it...
