Hi, I am replacing the boards on my transom. Got the boards cut and glued, now what I want to know is, if I should fiberglass the boards? Would this make much difference? Thank you in advance for your reply?

I have an 850 Mercury and when you put the throttle in gear to go forward it goes in reverse and vice versa! I hsve tried switching the cables on the motor and in the gear box also but the problem persist. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Thank you! Pstoney
HELP! I replaced the wiring harness and control box on my 1976 Mercury 850, and now the motor will not turn over using the key. The key does however engage the choke. I jumped started the motor, in which the key had to be in the "On" position for it to start, and the key also turned the motor...
