1994 XRi 150 hp Mercury is very difficult to start, have to advance full throttle to get to start. Smokes heavily and runs rough like it is flooded. After boat gets up to planing speed the motor runs smoothly; top speed isn't affected. Will idle only after engine is warmed up from a long run...
