Have a 80hp Mercury outboard with power trim. Often the solenoid doesn't seem to operate the trim and I have to tap it to get it working. I've put a new solenoid in, but it still seems to stick. Any suggestions?

My steering cable is shot (rack and pinion) and I wanted to know if there is a manual/specs I can use to replace this Teleflex cable. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
