    Help1980 85 hp Evenrude Water Pump

    Installing pump kit. Removal instructions say, turn shaft CC to unlock key. Lift pump off.. Housing came off. Impeller seems stuck to shaft. Over the years I have done this 3 times no problems. No corrosion. Fresh water. What am I doing wrong. Thanks

    Ethanol

    I use premium gas in small 2 cycle engines as starting and operation seems better without ethanol. Has anyone experienced anything similar with outboard engines? (This not an octane question). Premium gas in our area has little or no ethanol.

    Out of the hole and WOT like a slug. Compression test all 125+ Spark test 3 good over 3/8 gap. Lower left no spark, but didn't narrow gap as considered 3/8 min. Have Evinrude Service Manual.
