I have a transom mounted transducer, the transom screw holes have been sealed inside and out with silicon.
I Plan to remount this and a pitot with 5200 (cant get 4200 locally) If I redrill with a fractionally larger diameter is this sufficient to remove silicon or does it penetrate further...

Small update.Found an ancient looking Medallion branded speedo with a range of 50Mph which is close to perfect for my boat.
It was badly yellowed on the mechanism housing, but the visible partshave not faded, it will probably be the oldest part of my boat but...

With so many entry level sports boats topping out around 45Mph, why is it impossible to find a mechanical gauge in this range or can someone suggest a 45 Mph/40 Knot gauge ?
