    Rochester or Weber?

    Hi All, I have a 1987 Mercruiser 305 Alpha One, 230HP. I know it has a 4bbl carb for sure, but how can i tell if it is the Rochester or Weber. Was one more common then the other? Or are there numbers to match up?! Thanks
