Wheel bearings - old Dodge motorhome

Yeah , the need for a specialty socket like that scares me a bit. The end of that looks very similar to the one for my bronco , the bronco one is just way shorter.

Wheel bearings - old Dodge motorhome

I just crawled all over around the axle and can't find a tag any where . I would love to identify it ahead of time so that I can order seals before ripping it apart.

Wheel bearings - old Dodge motorhome

This is all I can find in the owners manual, which of course doesn't cover much.. It just mentions full floating vs semi floating and I've never messed with any kind of wild axles like that . So I don't want to bite off more than I can chew.

    2014 GMC Sierra AC

Hey Scott , FYI on the acetone . I did this exact thing 2 years ago on my 91 bronco , the interwebs says don't use acetone , even though its a great flush , once you get the vacuum pump on there its very volatile and the fumes / pump could make everything go boom . It's probably overly...

Wheel bearings - old Dodge motorhome

Hello all , I would like to tackle greasing the front wheel bearings old my old motorhome . It's a 78 Dodge with a 440 , 11500 gvwr and I am told as far as parts go , just assume it's a B300 which was their heavy duty truck / van chassis back then . I am not finding much help as far as what...

    76 OMC 175 starting

One other way to safely run a stringer on the hose . Do a quick google search on " prestone flush and fill kit" any auto parts store has it. It's basically a T with a hose cap . You can install that T on the hose coming from the intermediate up to the thermostat housing . That hose will be on...

    76 OMC 175 starting

When it comes to shifting , do what you can to get the idle as low as possible on the carb and gently shift into gear don't jam the the throttle with those . Same goes for tilt ! Gently tap the drive down , don't hold the switch down..... If you ram it down you WILL break stuff I learned...

Hello all, I am at my wits end on this one and could some help. quick back story - 78 Plymouth , motorhome , the stock fuel gauge " sorta works " on a completely full tank it reads about 3/4 full .... therefore I dont trust the bottom of that gague. it does drop fairly accurately though , I...

Wont rev past 4k -ESA issue?

Don't consider the relay concept a hack job . If done right those newer Bosch relays are great. It takes the load off of the ignition switch . I think it's an upgrade . I was researching installing a DUI distributor into my boat . It's considered a "best practice" to feed that dizzy right off...

Wont rev past 4k -ESA issue?

I would think that 13.2 should be plenty , I would try running that circuit straight from the battery as a test like you said. To see if that changes the problem. If it does solve it , you can run them all off battery through a switched relay for a permanent fix. Just a thought

    OMC 800 stringer

You can get that out from the back side now. remove the retaining plate (27) and the shaft that the hammer blow coupler is on is 46 in this diagram. Not a bad idea remove all of it anyways so you can inspect the tilt gears and get new fluid in there. Its been a while since I have done that ...

    Sea Ray 1977 200SR

Excellent . Did that ball gear shaft come out fairly easily ? Mine was brutal, it took several hours of heat and tapping and yanking on it with a tow strap and rachet off the receiver of my truck . 40 years is sludge basically welded it together . I didn't think I would ever be able to remove...
