    92 115 regulator wires

    I ordered a new voltage regulator from CDI Electronics. The 2 wires that connect to the stator are solid yellow. Wires coming from the stator are 1 solid yellow and 1 yellow with gray stripe. Does it matter which yellow wire connects to the stator wire with the gray stripe?

    V4 rough idle: bad stator?

    92 Johnson 115 CF. Found a small crack in the plastic housing on the top rear of the stator. The plastic is also bubbled up there. A spot about the size of a dime. Could this be my idle problem? I've checked everything else except for the timer base.

    Fine wire spark plugs

    Has anyone tried Denso Iridium fine wire plugs in their outboard? I read they were originally designed to prevent fouling in 2-cycle motors. Kind of pricey at $10 a piece. Anyone have any input?

    Anyone use the Amsoil Saber 100:1 synthetic oil? Thinking about trying it in my Johnson 115, but I'm a little nervous about the 100 to 1 mixture. Is it ok to run wot with this oil?

    Been trying different plug gaps and octane with my 92 Johnson 115. Results are, motor loses about 150 rpms with plugs gapped at .035, more at 0.40.     Are the floats supposed to be level with the carb body when inverted? My manual shows a gauge being used to set the floats. Is there a measurement for this?

    fuel consumption while decarbing

    Decarbed my 92 Johnson 115 CF using the seafoam method with a 1gal remote tank. After two 15min periods of running at fast idle (1400 rpm) the 1gal mixture is almost gone. Is this normal fuel consumption for this motor?
