1988 Mercruiser 3.0 looses power at speed, was fine yesterday.
We just trailered our boat to the Hudson to visit family.
Yesterday we went water skiing, today we had the kids tubing.
About 30-40minutes in today, the engine started to loose power at speed ~20-25mph and finally at full throttle...
I've got a Mercury 3.0L 4cyl Mercury I/O that was stalling when backing down from running fast to a slow idle. Couple of whacks around the float sometimes helped, so I decided to rebuild the carb. (Mercarb)
Did the whole kit, cleaned out everything, replaced the float too. Reistalled...
We picked up a 1988 19' Sport-Craft with an OMC I/O 4.3L engine. V6
I can't seem to find the engine model/serial number on it anywhere, and was hoping for help identifying it.
Here is what I know:
Outdrive plate says: Model No. 985269 Engine 4.3L Serial No. T0562593
Carburetor stamp 17085008...
