    Adding Fuel Filter 1985 15hp evinrude

    So I have had an issue with getting some bad gas and added an inline fuel filter. Now the motor will only run for a minute then dies after loosing prime. Did I install to big of a fuel filter for the small fuel pump on these motors

    I have the old gear style handle. It is extremely tight and jumps gears when I rotate the handle. Handle is tight and I am thinking if there is not a easy fix I my try and convert to a cable system. I also think the bushing that goes on the armature plate is worn. Would replacing this help...
