    63' Starflite IV Throttle Cable replacement

    WHen I got the motor, the throttle cable was severed. I got the motor running, But can anyone tell me if it is a common cable to replace. I think it's about 15'<br /><br />Any thoughts on what i should look for?<br />thanks.

I have been looking for the normal holes with the gouges, however i cannot find them. there are two holes above the cavitation plate, one on each side, and there is a airspace between the lower 1/2 of the lower unit (kinda a shroud).     How do you test mixture?

    I have a 24:1 motor and a 50:1 motor I wanted know if there is a way to verify or test the mixture of the fuel to verify that you have the appropriate mix.<br /><br />thanks.

    Distributor Cap and Wires 63' 75hp Evinrude

    Do the wires separate from the Distributor cap on a 1963 Evinrude starflite 4 75 hp motor? <br /><br />I dont want to force them off if they are molded on. I need to replace the wires and didnt know if i needed to replace the cap at the same time. Thanks.
