Hi I would like to thank you for all your help. I’m just a jackass and I had the shift cable on the carb and the throttle cable on the shift control. Swap everything around and all is good.
The second picture it depicting that to reach carb fully closed I still need about 1/4” to get cable onto the pin. But to get it there I would need to thread the barrel further to the left on the cable and there is no not room to go that way.
Last year it ran fine at idle. This season I had to pull the motor to change the coupler and all put back together and on first start up I was having the issue with high idle.
I have a 1986 sea ray Seville 19’. Does anyone happen to know the throttle cable length. Can’t locate any specs anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.
Ok I tried that and was able to get boat to idle at regular rpms. Tried to adjust throttle cable to reach pin but there is not enough room to extend to the pin at idle position. Any possibilities or do I need a new throttle cable? Thanks again.
I have a 1986 seaway Seville with the 3.0l merc. I am having an issue where as soon as I start the motor it goes straight to very high rpm. I can not find any info on throttle adjustment. Any help would be appreciated. Any questions feel free to ask. Thank you.
