Ive got a mercruiser alpha 1, Gen 1. And instead of putting on a new exhaust tube when I replace the seal kit does anyone see a problem with putting a duck valve (one way valve) up in there and not routing the exhaust down through the foot?
I have a 4.3 mercruiser that is getting hot at full throttle but if I back off a bit it will cool down. I replaced the engine driven pump today and it still does the same thing. I checked the lower hose coming out of the engine water pump and it is dry. What is wrong???
