    My oil inject system went south on my 1994 Merc 200 so I am going to premixing. I have pullled the pump and drive shaft and have installed the plug system. Question--how do I silence the oil alarm without disabeling the overheat warning???:

    Merc oil injection

    I have a 1994 200HP 2.5L Offshore. The oil injection system quit working so I pulled the pump. It appears Ok and the shaft is not sheared. Further looking leads me to believe that the worm gear that drives the oil pump shaft is made out of plastic and has failed. Is this the common failure mode...
