Hey Guys, new to the board. Need a water sending unit for my 89 40 hp mariner. All I can seem to find is sending unit for gauges. Mine has the audible alarm only, are the sending units interchangeable? This is my first outboard, so its a lil greek to me.
I have an 87 mercruiser 3.0. I just installed a sierra electronic ingnition kit with diodes and resistors as required in the directions to replace the points system. Engine started and ran good twice, for about 5 min each time. Third try a couple hours later there is no spark... any ideas?
