hey guy's looking for someone who could e-mail me the proper timing procedure for a 1981 merc 225 (v6). I'm trying to follow the procedure out of the seloc book but it seem's to be very vague. In particular the updated procedure out of a merc manual would be appreciated. motor is fresh only...
1980-1981 merc 225 on v-20 wellcraft idles fine &<br />will rev over 5000 rpm in neutral. But when i put the motor into "F" i can not get the boat on plane<br />or over 1800 rev's . Checked compression 5 cyl's<br />showing 125-130 lbs, 1 cyl @ 75 lbs only.Removed head bore has small score in it...
