Was looking at a used boat today with an Evinrude E Tec 135. We cranked it up with the ear muffs and it run perfect except I noticed the motor was not peeing out the pee-hole. Was told that it won't unless the foot is submerged. Does that sound right??

I have a 2017 Tracker with a 75hp 4stroke Merc. I am running full throttle 4800 rpm @ 38mph (gps) The specs say I should be 5200 full throttle. I am going to a SS prop to minimize scrapes and dings. My question..should I change my 17 pitch prop
to a different pitch to gain a couple hundred rpms?
Has anyone tried installing a reverse polarity switch on their trolling motor ? There are many
situations I need to reverse the motor where I can't turn it 180* with the foot pedal.
Due to low water conditions, several of our ramps are short and
pose a problem of backing the trailer in too far and dropping
off the end. The trailer spring hangers catch the edge and won't
allow pulling the trailer out! This has happened to me twice.

Due to a drought here, our lake water level is very low. Last week I backed trailer too far and it dropped off
the ramp end. I had a hard time getting it out.
My question is ... is there a "skid" kit out there that can be attached to the frame of my trailer forward of
