Cleaned and rebuilt the carbs in my 1985 Evinrude 70 hp (E70ELCOS) 3 cyl. From what I read on here and in the Tdaddy's top secret file, I should be able to blow into the fuel nipple and air should blow out of the carb. My question is how much effort should it take to do this???

Help!! Can not get this thing to run right for the life of me. Hadn't been run in years when I bought it so rebuilt the carbs, repalced the plugs and power pack. Has strong spark, good compression, and is getting fuel. It will start right up and idle fine, put in gear and it runs pretty...
What could cause the timing to be 180 off? Replaced the power pack, but didn't help. I'm guessing it's probably the timing base, but just guessing and prefer the opinion of someone more knowledgeable than me.
