i have a 1970 85 hp evinrude.last year i had the lower unit serviced. i started it this year and where the units bolt up i'm getting water leaks .should there been a gasket or some type of sealer put there?
when start up engine it seem to me that it is wide open. what could i be doing wrong? when i start it up i prime and choke it a couple of times, am i putting to much gas in the carb. the motor is 1970 evinrude 85hp ob.
:cool: i took the lower unit the machine shop and had a prop seal installed but now i can't the unit on.the shaft seem to run into an object. can i get some help?
