    2 Cycle Snowmobile Oil

    Can you use older style snowmobile oil in the older outboards .As in older I mean late 50's early 60's outboards. I was given a case or snowmobile oil the person insists that I can use it in outboards but thought I would check to be safe. Want to treat these old girls right.

    1959 Johnston 5.5 Stumbles

    Hi Have a 1959 5.5 hp seahorse. Changed out coils, points and condenser. At low rpm about the speed you would troll at the engine stumbles . It almost cuts out then resumes operating normally. Have tried adjusting low speed mixture it makes no difference. Any advice would be very helpful...

    Warning buzzer Question

    I have a 1976 starcraft montego 165hp i/o. When the key is turned on a loud buzzer goes on, after starting the motor buzzer turns off. What is the purpose of this buzzer? Its hard to hear rhe motor start over the noise of this buzzer. Question 2 How do you remove the guages to rewire them...

    Question about Gas

    Hi all, Have a question about gasoline. 1976 250 chev motor in boat. when burning unleaded gas is it ok to use 87 octane with 10 % ethenol, or should I use high test. Will there be a performace difference, or will the etenol burn out the valve seats and guides. Any help would be great.

    How do you run a stern drive out of water

    HI all Just resently aquired a boat with a 1976 omc stern drive. How do you test run them out of water? I have used water muffs on outboards,but never have had a i/o before. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance
