    Zodiac vs Helicopter vs Ocean

Exactly why I bought an inflatable! 😏👍

    My first inflatable

Yes! It was one of the major selling points for me. I had tried a few of my friends inflatables and although they handled like I expected. The Sea Eagle is exceptional in tracking and turns. (IMHO) It also helped that they were an hour from our home so we took a day trip to Port Jefferson, NY...

    Where are all the inflatables?

Yes, the keel is attached to the bottom of the boat, but, the floor is completely separate. Check out this older video, the first 4 minutes should answer your questions....

    Where are all the inflatables?

Hey dB, yes, the floor is separate and easy to remove/install. The drop stitch floor is surprisingly stiff. I'm 195lbs and it was rock solid. When we visited the showroom they asked if we did a lot of fishing or diving. I told them no. They recommended the air floor saying it would be less...

    Where are all the inflatables?

Defender is a great place to check out a bunch of different boats all in one place. Sounds like you might be in Connecticut like me. I'd encourage you to check out the pros and cons on several inflatables in the size range you're looking for, and then make a decision. By the time you add the...

    Where are all the inflatables?

Hey there, may I also suggest a Sea Eagle. We owned a 12.6 Sport Runabout and it was excellent. We actually had a chance to visit them in Port Jefferson, NY and they went out of their way for over an hour answering questions and explained what set them apart from the competition. We owned it...

Sea Eagle FKS16 Year End Review

We had a Sea Eagle 12.6 for two fun filled seasons. We loved it and went on 18 to 20 adventures a season. Then I had surgery, bummer. Convinced my boating years were done I sold it to a friend, who only used it 4 times last year, really? 🙄 So, I'm doing much better now and miss being on the...

    Going over to inflatables.

We had a SE 12.6 for 2 years and LOVED it! We also had a 6hp Tohatsu and I could get it up to 16knts. Had to sell it because of my hernia surgery. (Don't ask) We actually went to Port Jefferson, NY to visit the showroom. They couldn't have been nicer. Have fun and keep us posted.

Tohatsu 6hp still not broke in having carb issues?

Hey BR, We got a 3yo 6hp Tohatsu also and love it. It is picky about gasoline, especially E10. Only had an issue once. Here's what works for me. FRESH gas is a must! Just a few weeks in the summer sun and it's toast. Unless I'm using up the small internal tank every week or so I drain and...

Update, so I built a trailer.

This forum has been so helpful for me and I thought I'd post a "update" on my Harbor Freight trailer. After shopping for a new (couldn't find anything used under $600. and most were trashed) boat trailer for our Sea Eagle 12.6sr and finding prices new of $895-1,200 (and up) I thought about a HF...

Changing the prop on Tohatsu 6 hp. "UPDATE"

So the summer has come and gone, with just a few more good weeks left here in New England. We love our Sea Eagle 12.6sr, it has exceeded our expectations in every way, and we're glad we bought it. I had thought about changing the pitch of the prop on the Tohatsu back in June to give us more...

Changing the prop on Tohatsu 6 hp.

We're loving our Sea Eagle 12.6sr so far. I can get it to plan with me no problem. But with my wife and gear it's really tough, if at all. So, It has a stock 7.8x8 prop now. I'm thinking a 7.8x7 would be better for the "hole shot" and planing with a heavier load. I'm not concerned about the top...

First impressions on our Sea Eagle 12.6sr

So, after a few weeks of rain and work conflicts I got to take our Sea Eagle 12.6sr out for the first time. Boy was I impressed! True, I had limited experience with only 2 other inflatables but right from the get go it was a blast. The SE is NOT just marketing hype. It is a solid, well made...

    We bought a new boat!

So we bought a Sea Eagle 12.6 After many months of checking out all the different brands of inflatable boats I settled on a Sea Eagle. There are so many to research my head started to swim after a few weeks. All the better brands had their pros and cons but for me it boiled down to customer...
