Just purchased a mercury tower of power 6cyl and wanted to find out the hp and year of the motor. Besides the obvious hp written on the cowel: 115hp (1150) is there a way to tell the hp besides doing hp tests on it?

Have a nice condition Evinrude 9.9 and I got it to run (somewhat). It is misfiring and I am wondering where the points are where I can adjust them at as well as the bold size on the flywheel. I am suspecting that the points are there but am not certain. Any info will help! Thanks!
